Next-Generation Total Ankle Replacement
We continually work hard at Arbor - Ypsi Foot & Ankle Centers to give you the greatest care and ankle arthritis treatment choices that will last the longest. The latest technology that can help you achieve better results and long-term advantages are part of this endeavor. This is why we are thrilled to offer the INFINITY™ with ADAPTIS™ Technology system, the most recent advancement in total ankle replacement surgery, to patients with end-stage ankle arthritis.
Cutting-Edge Solutions
The first total ankle system to be 3D-printed is called INFINITY with ADAPTIS Technology, and it marks the advancement of total ankle replacement surgery. The EVERLAST inserts improve wear resistance, which can help extend the life of the implant, while the system uses 3D-printed porous material to aid with bone and implant integration.
The personalized navigation system in the PROPHECY pre-operative guidelines can design a plan for sizing and positioning your implant to your particular anatomy for the most natural fit possible. It is designed to improve movement while reducing arthritic discomfort. Our technology offers longevity, stability, and mobility for a more stable and durable implant, as a result of the bone and 3D printed ADAPTIS, porous metal components' facilitation of bone and implant integration. Please schedule a consultation in our Ann Arbor Podiatry office to learn more about our advanced diagnostic technology.
Advanced 3D-Printed Material
The porous metal parts 3D-printed for ADAPTIS™ are meant to act as a scaffold to help bone growth develop in as early as four weeks.
The porous material is designed to increase stability by increasing friction when the bone meets the implant. It is also meant to improve long-term fixation by allowing the bone to grow into the implant. As a patient, you will benefit from the right size and placement of your implants.
Reduce the Guesswork with Our Technology
The PROPHECY Preoperative Navigation System makes your ankle replacement surgery less of a guessing game.
This navigation system is only available for our patients at Arbor - Ypsi Foot & Ankle Centers. It lets your doctor see the unique anatomy of your ankle and plan for any issues before your surgery.
Using your own CT scan and our special technology, the system builds a model of your body and simulates your surgery. Then our doctors can make suggestions about the right size, placement, and alignment of the implant. Based on your unique anatomy and your doctor's preferences, the PROPHECY Preoperative Navigation System provides your doctor with a tailored surgical plan, implant sizing, and patient-specific alignment guidelines. When your doctor uses this system, they may be able to cut down on the number of steps in your surgery, the number of X-rays you need, and the amount of time you spend in surgery.

Proper sizing and alignment are essential because they affect the long-term effectiveness of your implant. In general, precise size and alignment result in a more durable and effective joint. The tibial component size was accurate in 98 percent of patients who underwent ankle replacement surgery using the PROPHECY Preoperative Navigation System. One hundred percent of patients had alignment within 5 degrees of the intended position.
Ankle arthroplasty, or total ankle replacement, is a treatment for ankle arthritis. The operation can relieve ankle pain, promote joint stability, and enhance general mobility when various treatments fail to ease the symptoms of ankle arthritis.
Some medical insurance plans do cover ankle replacement surgery. However, it is advised to discuss your coverage options with your insurance provider. Our dedicated staff will help you submit forms to your insurance company.
